We are planning for an ALL-ALUM REUNION for everyone who ever attended Sacred Heart Academy or College/Cullman College (both grads and non-grads). The weekend event will be August 3-5, 2007. Classes ending in 6, 7, and 8 will be specially honored. We are also interested in "Heritage Alumni", children of alumni both living and deceased who wish to interact with those who may have known their parent(s) either in the academy or colleges. Please mark this date on our calendar now and make plans to attend.
We are still trying to contact all those Alums who attended Sacred Heart Academy and College or Cullman College. The Development Office is trying to locate "lost" alums as far back as 1928. If you are not on our mailing list or have not received the seasonal editions of our paper, "Benedictine Update," or you hear of an alum who is not receiving our mail, please contact Sister Eleanor Harrison at (256) 734-2199 or E-mail at alumni@shmon.org.

Dear Alums,
Greetings from all of the Sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery. We ask God to bless you, your family and your work.
Plans are underway for the 2007 All-Alum Reunion. If you wish more information about attending, helping to plan, or to volunteer time during the weekend please feel free to contact me at any time.
If you would like to come back to Sacred Heart for an individual class reunion, arrangements can be made. Most week-ends are already scheduled, but you can check to see if accommodations are available for a small group.
Transcripts Requests: Sister Eleanor Harrison, OSB, 916 Convent Rd, Cullman, AL 35055. If you attended Sacred Heart Academy, Sacred Heart College, or Cullman College, I have your transcript. By law, I must have a written request before sending a copy of the transcript to a college or to you. The usual fee is $5.00 for each transcript, which should be received upon request. Phone calls do not work. It is best to use a xeroxed copy of the transcript.
Many of the Alums who where here during S. Martina’s time in the academy and college have given a gift for an infirmary room in her memory. It is still not too late to give a gift in her memory or in memory/honor of any of the Sisters or anyone else you choose. The amount for the infirmary is approaching the goal, but we still have a way to go before reaching the full amount needed. As usual, your gift is greatly appreciated and your are remembered in our prayers as our Benefactors.
You are special to us and we do like to hear from you. Sometimes I hear of the death of a spouse, child or even an Alum through another Alum which I greatly appreciate. If you have anything happening in your life that you would like us to know, please let me send a note to me so I can get a letter to all of you in the fall with Alum news or use the form below. There is always a page in the UPDATE where I can add a bit of alum information-but not much. I’d love to hear from you and look forward to seeing you anytime you can stop by, but especially in 2007.
