A Psalm of Gratitude for God’s Presence in Nature
Resting in Nature’s Sanctuary,
Your Presence lifts
my seeking soul in thanksgiving.
I call upon your Presence.
Renew my soul to savor
Your loving goodness.
Your Sun’s luminous rays
Brighten the trees’ virile hues;
Your melody echoes gently
in multitudinous birdsong;
The day lilies mirror
Your radiant glory.
I call upon Your Presence.
Renew my soul to savor
Your loving goodness.
All the days of my life
I desire Your fleeting glimpses
in nature’s Beauty.
Even though life’s daily struggles
obliterate my awareness and
plunge me into the depths of darkness,
my soul is confident you are always at my side
to pull me back onto
the Path of Life.
I call upon Your Presence.
Renew my soul to savor
Your loving goodness.
As the Sun lights my way,
as the trees root me
on Holy Ground,
as the birds chant Your Word,
my steadfast heart is moved
to reflect Your radiant glory
all the days of my life.
