Sacred Heart Monastery Chapel - west side exterior landing

In the Prologue of his Rule, St. Benedict asks:

Is there anyone here who yearns for life

and desires to see good days?

This yearning for life, which is innate in all of us, is a yearning for God. For some, this desire draws them to unite with others in a single-hearted search for God following the ever-ancient yet always new monastic way of life.

As Vocation Ministers for our Community, we would like to share with you something of our monastic charism. We invite you to explore these pages to learn more about the monastic way of seeking God and the process of becoming a member of our community.

Want to learn more about our community?  Please visit our Community News page and Living the Tradition: A Benedictine Blog.  The best way to learn about our community is to come for a visit.  Please contact us if you would like to arrange a visit or attend a "come and see" retreat

We welcome any questions you may have as you follow your yearning for God.
