Vocation Discernment Retreat

Who am I? What should I do with my life?  Who does God call me to be?  Sound familiar?  Are these your questions?  Then you are not alone.  St. Benedict expresses these questions this way:

"The Lord calls out... 'Is there anyone here who yearns for life and desires to see good days?'"  (Psalm 34:13) Rule of St. Benedict, Prologue 14,15.

If your answer is, "I do!" then we invite you to join us for an opportunity to learn about a very unique and exciting way of living the Gospel call by attending: SEEKING GOD:  The Benedictine Way.

Seeking God: The Benedictine Way -- July 14-16, 2006, January 5-7, 2007

An opportunity for single Catholic women 18-45 to experience the Benedictine way of life. Participants will share in the prayer and community life of the Benedictine Sisters and have time to reflect and pray about their future.  An invitation to come and see what our way of life is all about, without the pressure of making a decision.  There is no charge for the weekend; however, donations will be accepted.

Living the Christian Journey Young Adult Retreat -- October 6-8, 2006

"Walking with Christ in a Fear-Filled World"

A retreat for single Catholic young adults 18-35 will call leaders and participants in various committed lifestyles to share faith stories and discuss ways of offering one's gifts and talents for the good of God's people.  For busy and stressed young adults to experience prayer in a peaceful setting and to share Scripture and Sacraments with the Benedictine Community and each other.
(Scholarships available)

This year's CHRISTIAN JOURNEY retreat theme,WALKING WITH CHRIST IN A FEAR-FILLED WORLD, will challenge both leaders and participants to ponder how we can live our Christian faith in a world filled with fear and violence. Presenters will consider ways to live in Christ's peace. Springing from our Catholic teachings on peace, topics will include: peace within ourselves, peace in relationships, peace with the earth, and peace with the world. This is an opportunity for busy and stressed young adults to experience prayer in a peaceful setting and to share in Scripture and Sacraments with the Benedictine Monastic Community and with each other.
