The Benedictine Sisters begin what would become almost six decades of service at the newly-opened John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham.
Noted educators, the Sisters impacted thousands of students over the years. Benedictine Sisters served at a total of twenty-two different Catholic elementary and high schools within the Dioceses of Mobile and Birmingham, plus several schools outside these dioceses. Sisters were missioned to the various schools by the prioress and lived community life in local convents near the schools.
