Sister Benita and Sister Mary celebrate their 60th Jubilee

On Friday, June 10, Sister Benita Peters, OSB, and Sister Mary McGehee, OSB, celebrated their 60th Jubilee of Monastic Profession. During the ceremony, which took place during a Eucharist Celebration, the two Sisters renewed their promises of Monastic Profession. Their renewal was received  by Sister Lynn Elisabeth Meadows, OSB, Prioress of the Monastic Community. Fr. John O’Donnell, OSB, of St. Bernard Abbey, presided at the Eucharistic Liturgy.

With a combined 120 years of monastic life and ministry, the two Sisters have had great impact in their various areas of ministry.  Sister Elisabeth shared some about their impact in her reflection at the conclusion of Mass.  It may be read at this link.
