Three of our sisters recently returned from the annual meeting of the Conference of Benedictine Prioresses (CBP), held this year in Baltimore, MD. Sister Lynn Elisabeth Meadows was present in her role as Prioress of our community. Sister Lynn Marie McKenzie also attended as President of the Monastic Congregation of St. Scholastica. Additionally, Sister Tonette Sperando, presently serving as Canonical Administrator of the Benedictine Sisters of Florida, represented that community at the CBP meeting.
This annual meeting of the CBP is a wonderful opportunity to discuss matters of mutual concern, to share together with others in similar roles, and to receive inspiration from a guest speaker. This year, the speaker was Sister Cecilia Dwyer of St. Benedict Monastery in Bristow, VA.
