The monastery were particularly quiet this past week as the community held its annual retreat. The retreat conferences were led by Sister Marielle Frigge, OSB, of Sacred Heart Monastery in Yankton, SD. She spoke on the topic of The Paschal Christ at the Heart of the Rule of Benedict. The conferences offered the sisters rich spiritual fare to reflect upon during the week of quiet.
The retreat concluded with a joyful Mass on Friday during which Sister Veronica Ryan, Sister Marie Leonard, and Sister Marian Davis celebrated their 60th anniversary of monastic profession. The rest of the community also made their annual renewal of monastic profession. Mass was followed by a festive meal, celebrating the three Jubilarians and also a great week of retreat.
