From the comfort and shelter of your home, we invite you to join us for a one-day on-line Introduction to Centering Prayer workshop. Centering Prayer is a form of Christian prayer rooted in the ancient Christian contemplative tradition. Its purpose is to foster a deeper intimacy with Christ through the silence and stillness of contemplative prayer.

This workshop/retreat is designed for those new to Centering Prayer. This one-day format will provide via Zoom video-conference the instruction that usually occurs over the course of a weekend. A reliable internet connection with the capability for audio and video is required. There will be opportunities for questions and discussion.

Saturday, September 5, 2020 – 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Time for breaks will be provided.

Centering Prayer is a form of Christian prayer rooted in the ancient Christian contemplative tradition. Its purpose is to foster a deeper intimacy with Christ through the silence and stillness of contemplative prayer. This time of pandemic has led many to seek to deepen their relationship with God through this wordless prayer of contemplation. This weekend retreat is designed for those new to Centering Prayer. The participants will keep silence for the weekend, but there will be opportunities for questions and discussion about the practice. To register, please select ONE of the following options.

Deposit $50 (If paying deposit only, balance will be due in advance of the retreat or upon arrival.)

Hildegard of Bingen: A Woman for Our Times, March 17-19, 2023
Explore the life and gifts of Hildegard of Bingen, a Benedictine visionary, artist, composer, and physician who lived in the 1100s. This retreat will include reflection on many of her visions, using her remarkable paintings and writings. We will also ponder some of her suggestions for living a deeper spiritual life, as well as enjoy music she composed for liturgical prayer. There will be time for personal reflection and some group sharing.
