May 2024 COVID-19 update: We are fully open, but ask potential guests who are feeling unwell to refrain from coming to the Retreat Center. For individuals, we will be glad to reschedule your retreat. For group members, please contact your group leader and let them know you are unwell.  If any future COVID-19 guidelines are issued from the CDC, we will attend to the updated guidance.

 

We are glad you are interested in attending one of the programs sponsored by our Retreat Center.  We offer three registration options.

  1. Complete the on-line registration form below, with deposit paid by credit card.
  2. Call or e-mail our office and we will assist you with registration over the phone or by e-mail.  We will ask that you mail your deposit in by check.

This form may be used to register on-line for retreats or for the events sponsored by the Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center that are listed below.

  • Explore the life and gifts of Hildegard of Bingen, a Benedictine visionary, artist, composer, and physician who lived in the 1100s. This retreat will include reflection on many of her visions, using her remarkable paintings and writings. We will also ponder some of her suggestions for living a deeper spiritual life, as well as enjoy music she composed for liturgical prayer. There will be time for personal reflection and some group sharing. The Hildegard Day Retreat includes the primary presentation of Hildegard’s spirituality, engagement with her paintings and writings, and time for personal reflection on the grounds of the monastery. Lunch, materials, and art supplies are included in the fee.

The two-night Hildegard Immersion Retreat includes the opportunity to share in the rhythm of chanted prayer and the contemplative pace of life of a monastic community as well as additional sessions with Sister Mary, audiovisual materials, and a closing ritual. Retreatants are invited to more fully step into Hildegard’s spiritual environment for a time of deep refreshment. Accommodations are in a modern guest house with private bath. The retreat begins on Friday evening and concludes after Sunday midday dinner.
  • This Advent Retreat offers opportunities to experience three reflection / prayer / spiritual activities. Participants can attend as many sessions as they like. A spirit of Advent quiet and peace will prevail during the retreat. The Day Retreat includes three sessions on Saturday. It begins at 9:30am and ends at 4:00pm, with lunch and snacks included. Retreatants will be able to use spaces throughout the Retreat Center.
  • This Advent Retreat offers opportunities to experience three reflection / prayer / spiritual activities. Participants can attend as many sessions as they like. A spirit of Advent quiet and peace will prevail during the retreat. The Immersion Experience begins at 7pm with a session to enter into the rich theology and spirituality of Advent. Immersion participants may join the Benedictine Sisters at prayer and at Eucharist. This longer period of silence and solitude includes rituals to move from and return to the everyday world. Immersion participants have a private room with bathroom in one of our modern Guest Houses. Meals and snacks are provided from Saturday breakfast through Sunday dinner at 11:30am.

  • Individual deposits to hold reservations for Retreat Center-sponsored events or private retreats are non-refundable. The deposit is not an additional fee. It is subtracted from the final invoice. If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date or the date of the event, your deposit will be fully refunded, less a 10% service charge. The refund request must be in writing or by email. If cancelled less than 30 days prior to your arrival, deposits are non-refundable. Payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded less a 10% service charge. This request must be made in writing or by email. If the Retreat Center cancels an event, deposits will be fully refunded. Refunds may be by check or by credit card, at our discretion.
